  • What is your Shipping Policy?

  • How long does shipping take?
  • In stock items generally take 4-5 business days to be delivered.

 

  • What is your Return & Exchange Policy?

  • Our Return, Exchange & Refund policy lasts 30 days. 
    A return or exchange must be requested within 30 days of the purchase date. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a return or exchange.

    Returns: 
    You have 30 days from your purchase to request a Return label via email at Returns@icowhide.com.au Please send an email with your order number or the email address used at checkout to request a return label. Once the return request has been submitted, A return shipping label will be sent via email attachment and the returned item must be shipped within 4 days of receiving the label. 
    If the item being returned is not shipped within 4 days, the returned label will be voided and we will not be able to accept your return. 
    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be sent back in the original packaging.

    Exchanges: 

    Because of the one-of-a-kind nature of our products, we are not able to offer exchanges. However, If you are not happy with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund and purchase another one. For more information about returns, please read the above "Returns" section.

    Refunds: (if applicable) 
    Once a return is received it will go through an inspection process to determine refund eligibility. 
    The inspection process can take anywhere from 2 to 3 business days after receiving the package. 
    If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

    Late or missing refunds: (if applicable) 
    If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
    Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 
    Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

  • What is the backing of the cowhides?
  • The backside is natural Suede, and it is naturally non slip.

 

  • Do I need a rug pad for it?
  • No rug pads are required for our Cowhide Rugs.

 

  • How are your cowhides measured?
  • Please see the diagram below for how the hides are measured.

 

 

 

  • Are your cowhides sourced ethically? Were the cows killed for their skins?
  • Leather in all its forms is a naturally occurring by-product of the beef industry. We absolutely do not kill any animals for their skins! Leather production in any form has zero effect on the number of animals slaughtered. There are millions of cow hides going to waste each year because the demand for beef is far larger than that for leather. We are simply utilizing the hides which would otherwise be thrown away as waste to create a useful and naturally beautiful product.

 

  • How do I clean my cowhide if I spill something on it?
  • Our beautiful and natural cowhide rugs are effortlessly easy to maintain. These rugs simply do not hold dust and dirt as other normal carpets and woven rugs do. All it requires is a frequent shake or vacuum, just being sure to clean it in the direction of the hairs. In the case of a spill, simply apply light pressure with a clean towel to soak up liquid and apply warm, soapy liquid to the affected area. Blot dry. Brush the hair in the direction of the follicles to keep it soft and lustrous. *Please do not beat the rug as this can cause damage* If treated with care, your new cowhide rug will last for many years. 

 

  • How do I remove the creases and the wrinkles?
  • The folds and wrinkle go away automatically within a few days, if some parts are more stubborn, please make the backside on those areas damp using a wet towel, and then roll the hide and let it dry. That will certainly flatten it.

  

  • Is my dog going to chew my brand-new cowhide?
  • While we are not able to guarantee against chewing, most of our customers have told us that their dogs just love laying comfortably on their cowhides.
